Jijnyasa Jyotirjauasha Routray is an 18-year-old writer from Odisha, India, with a deep love for storytelling and poetry. What began as narrating poems and tales to friends and family has now grown into a passion she shares with a wider audience through her Instagram page, @missblogs2007.
Jijnyasa’s work often explores themes of love and sadness, but she is equally drawn to genres like thriller, rom-com, and dark romance. Her writing style is rooted in simplicity and emotional clarity, using accessible language to convey complex feelings and thoughts. She enjoys looking at life from multiple angles and perspectives, weaving those reflections into stories and poems filled with emotion, empathy, and depth.
Q: As a young poet what do you think resonates more with you: writing poems or performing them?
As a young poet I think I resonate more with writing poems than performing them since I see writing as a more comforting act of showcasing myself, my emotions and my feelings. I see the piece of paper as an unbounded form of expression.
Q: What are some of your favourite poets & writers?
Paulo Coelho, Harper Lee, Arundhati Roy.
Q: Do you think Instagram has provided you with confidence when it comes to sharing your poems with others?
Yes, it surely does add up to my confidence giving me a platform to post my content without judgement as of yet. Plus seeing the society like and relate to my work or even give attention to my work is truly a blessing in disguise.
