Prerona Das

She was a liitle girl
Yes, a GIRL
She was killed and buried
Oh, that's a GIFT by her family to her
Because, she was a GIRL !!

She is an adult
Yes, an ADULT
They offer her vulgar eyes
Now, she has fearful eyes
Oh, that's a GIFT by those monsters
Because, she is a GIRL!!

She is a married woman
Yes, a MARRIED WOMAN
She has bruised face
She has burned marks
Oh, that's a GIFT by her husband
Because, she is his wife!!

She is a widow
Yes, a WIDOW
She loved colours
Now, she wears only white colour
Oh, that's a GIFT by the society.

We are children,
We are adult's,
We are widow,
We are women,
We were shouting,
We are shouting,
Give us FREEDOM;
To LIVE,
To WEAR COLOURS,
To LIVE HAPPILY,
To LIVE FEARLESSLY.

Society is debating
We are waiting
STILL, we are at the same spot
STILL, girls to aged women;
Being raped,
Being assaulted,
Being molested.............STILL!
