STREETS

VIDHYALAKSHMI M

Have you seen any Indian street,
Loads of people rushing on their feet!

Watermelons and juice stalls to beat the summer heat,
The sight of all of this is a worthy treat!

Street vendors selling things on a sheet,
Crowded places where the crossroads meet,
Even being busy, the people never forget to greet!

You will get everything you wish to eat,
From golgappa to ice cream to sweet!

Buses, trains and cars have people on every seat,
I watch the busy street from my backstreet!

The streets are always away from the mode of discrete,
And the another day goes on repeat!

Without which I feel the life is basically incomplete!
