Just take a break
It's time to breathe,
The rush, the chaos
Has paused suddenly.
That book you bought
Lying by your bed,
It's time for it
To finally be read.
That guitar which has become
a mere showpiece in your lobby,
Is calling out to you
To rekindle that hobby.
Those brushes and paints
On that top corner shelf,
Are longing for you
To tell a story of self.
No going out for a snack
Or ordering in,
Is igniting the chef
That lies within.
The washing and cleaning
Being careful all the time,
Is reviving that long lost
Health regime.
That exam stress
Has come to a hold,
So your parents can listen
To the secrets you never told.
Those day long meetings
have paused for a while,
So you can see how your baby's
eyes glim with each smile.
And those who suffer
For you I say
That it'll get better
With each passing day.
Just stay strong
And keep holding on
And just like time flies
This too shall be gone.
We're all in this together
We're all here for you
And when we stand united
We shall all get through.
And when this tunnel is crossed
And we finally see the light
All of us shall remember
The lessons learnt from this fight.
That for all the good moments
We don't have to strife
We don't need a pandemic
To remind us to cherish life!
