Smartphone love

Meher Narang

This tiny long device had become my life
Its smooth edges made me easy to swipe
All day long and I swear all night
This smartphone had made my life ten times bright

Its multi-talented brain made me fall in love
Oh how I can ask anything and it responds within a touch
I never liked the screen when it’d turn black again
So I would keep on scrolling although I had no reason to play

Its bright and blue light when touched my eye
It hurt for once but then I was fine
As I turned towards the side I heard my neck crack a bone
For all I know, I still have my phone

When in its sight I would never watch the clock
God knows how 9pm suddenly became dawn
