READJUSTED FOCUS

Neha Jolly

A Time of Celebration
Grafitti, Balloons,Familia
ITS A BOY
One miscarriage , Torn Body
Seven Years Later
Fruit Borne

Natural evolution isnt it?
Woman transitioning to a Mother
But have you asked the woman in question
HUH.. I hear Faintly

As much as the celebration appeals to me
Complete Cyclical change isnt Natural

Serving the Nation surely did not come Naturally
Training,Diligence and Constant Dedication
So then how is it motherhood should be,

Questioned often by scurrying thoughts
We walked across Milestones Together
You and I
From your First Side roll to your First Crawl
First Fall and the First Save

My identities changing day in and out
Fortunately with Leave Granted
Workplace seemed distant
Time Flies
You learnt to walk my son
And i could feel my blood throbbing
Not so much for the scare that you will hurt more
But at this Juncture of my crossed identity
A MOTHER,YES A MOTHER

To join back a life i knew 7 years
Responsibilities laden more
BUT TO ME
An Identity Misplaced

Will take time my son
But will soon learn to be both
working mom as they say these days
After all
Life is all about
Readjusted FOCUS.
