PEACE

Peace is not being in a quiet and isolated place,

bereft of any movement whatsoever.

It is but being amidst the chaos

and still have a stable heartbeat.

It is knowing that you're going to fall apart

but still keeping the calm

and preparing yourself to sustain the impact of the eclipse

and be able to stand up again.

It is accepting your mistakes

and resolving not to repeat them again.

It is forgiving.

Not because you do not find the person guilty anymore,

but for your heart's tranquility.

It is overcoming your fears.

It is knowing who you are.

And accepting that person.

It is being in love

but not losing yourself in the mess of it.

It is respecting yourself.

And it isn't raising a hue and cry in somebody else's life only to demand peace from them.

Because obviously,

peace is not something somebody can give you.

It's not something you can take.

It's not something you can pick up from where you or somebody else left it.

It lies within you.

It's something you need to find.

Not outside.

Betwixt your heartstrings.
