Nomad-ism

By Ananya Dhawan
It was rumination,
an act of deliberation,
my nomadic fantasies
had come to celebration,
and I grabbed a bag
packed a snack,
set off - into the land of contemplation,
into the vast expanse
of calm and tranquility,
into flowing waters
of peace and serenity.
An introspective journey
to 'God's own country',
with people so charming ,
their smiles, oh so disarming !
where the beatific sunset, lets you feast your eyes upon it.
Sandy beaches,
blissful backwaters,
misty hills and pristine forests
reside in Kerala,
and I dwelt in yoga and the power of Ayurveda
each transcending me to a level of willful balance and tranquility.
Traveling is all -purposeful,
Traveling is all-pure
A state of dreamy-ness
My nomad-ism is mine alone.

  • Beautifully written. :) I am from God’s own country and my poem featured here holds reference to Kerala, a part of it actually.
