Men

By Shradha Mehta

Tell me, why don't you open up?
Freezing in your own ice,
Why don't you melt at times?
Being a male, is it hard for you to cry?
Burst the bubble which jails you
Let those emotions pricking you flow
Show me the raw you
Let that mask burn in my fire
And trust me when I say that
you are allowed to be weak at times
Don't let it be dark there for too long,
Let the light enter you through your scars,
And hold my hands as I fight your demons,
But oh darling, why don't you open up?
