Kindness That I Hold

By Rashmi Pathak

Kindness within me holds the beauty

that reassembles the broken lives,

which heals the ruptured souls;

The sentiments gently flowing, soothing me

internally, wishes the best for the others,

My exquisite hug stops many tears from flowing.

Before knowing the kindness as the deepest thing,

I’d known the pain as the other deepest thing

I’d arisen with the sorrow in my heart

and lounged with the cut in my chest;

Bleeding with my own torment,

I needed the love, the care, the kindness;

to which I was deprieved of.

And now, by grace

With my resilient power

I’ve learnt the art of tenderness and kindliness

Despite the uncertainty of gratitude,

as it may not be apparent in one kind, and

 may not be selfsame, but I believe it adopts the trait of wind,

arriving from all directions.

Kindness is not weakness , instead

I feel powerful than ever before,

I feel loved by bestowing love

And yes this is my superpower;

My superpower which I acquinted for life.
