Just like the spring

Avani Acharya

Sitting on the waterside
feet dipped in spring
peeking at the scars I hide
from devils within.
A life full of darkness
a life full of doubt
urged my soul to scream and say my despairs aloud.
Afraid of the outer world
my heart was my secret vault.
But no more shall I weep alone
after all, it's not my fault.
No more shall I hide my scars
or peek at them in darkness
sitting at the waterside
I detach from this harness.
I look above and see the spring
oh so blue and so vast
just like how this spring was made
today I free myself from the past.
