It doesn’t matter!
When the right time comes
take them
to my grave
and read out my epitaph -
“A man guilty of being guilty
finds his last refuge in a grave.”
When the right time comes
show them
my out-of-stock books
in which every word
is laden with the ink
of my blood and sorrow.
When the right time comes
apologize to them
on my behalf
who thought highly of me
while I lived a desolate life
of an unrecognized poet.
If the right time never comes
gather all the desiccated foliage
strewn over my grave
and set them ablaze
while I slouch amid the dead
in remorse.
