I Smile

By Anmol Kaur

Sitting by my own I find butterfly smiling nearby.
I smile at the colors of life giving me a zealous vibe.
Unaware, pondering about the beauty of life.
A man in grey approaches ,admiring the sight.
To my surprise he calls my smile the most beautiful of all he saw in his life.
Fighting ALS and surviving the day ,your smile gave me a hope he says .
Back at home I look at mirror and ponder why?
Next day we meet he answers the why.
The moment is this and you enjoy like you're high.
Your smile speaks from heart and lifts the sky.
It has the power to heal the wounds like God dresses them by.
It plays the pious music of your soul,
That even a stranger could hear the purity of your soul.
Days later, bidding him a final goodbye.
I sit at his grave and cry .
The butterfly kisses my hand ,resting nearby.
Remembering 'my superpower ' I SMILE.
