Find Me Here

A blanket of smoke covered the valley,
In the midst of spring -
While I struggled with my luggage and a ticket,
Walking through this rocky path.
In an old tea shop,
A few polaroids were clicked -
Memories made were endless -
Even when I knew that my time to leave would approach soon,
My heart leapt with joy, everytime, I lay on the soft grass, stargazing at the moon.
Met a few children on the way,
They told me all about the people and the byways.
Within these lanes-
Lies a lover's paradise,
And the gentle breeze urges me to
Murmur the verses from Frost's "The Road Not Taken".
The sweets and the delicacies-
The Doon school and the valley's fantasises,
The varied treasures of Mother Nature's love,
Calms my soul.
Six million miles away from humanity -
The solitude seems to be fascinating,
When I dream of being free,
I can hear my thoughts echo, within these valleys.
When everything goes wrong,
And life doesn't seem to help hold on -
Go searching for me;
For you will find me nowhere; except somewhere, hidden, in an old lane of Dehradun.
