Basked

I've looked at sunsets a little longer than others,
Taking time to perceive the changes in its colours.
Every lilac reminds me of the serenity in his name,
Every red puts passion to shame.
And of all the things I believed in,
Summer still reminds me of you.
With every hue, with every faint tinge,
I've known how sometimes even time stands still;
Not just in awe, but disbelief
Of how wonder has been its constant thief.
