An Experience That Changed My Life

By Monica Moirangthem
In the midst of the early risers, across the path you stood. a white shirt, i reckon. who knew then that it was just a beginning of our many never endings.
in the midst of the ray of sun, love came smiling by joined by a blue doraemon beside the wooden bench by the river. it was beautiful.
on and on it went. but the breath of love shortened. we were rewarded by journeys, away from each other. the season rushed against us. every living bit.
on and on it went. from night baggy eyes to mornings alone. from searching for the spark that once ignited my bones to burning down the memories, it did hurt. it did..
ripped and dripped to the last bit of self respect i sacrificed. because i was scared. because we live in a society filled with a trend of confirmity.
well, how long could that last? hip-hop, back to back i went, collected all of the broken pieces together. be it the most minute piece, i didn't take it easy.
well, how long could i step back anyway? it was when i used my weakness as my strength that i am who i am today.
accepting and forgiving. they are beautiful. if you have them, keep it close. because we are human.
