Yet where I look the waves rise,
Oh! to rise and to fall,
like hope that gathers all courage to meet
its reflection in the skies,
but alas!
to soon fall back under the weight of its
very own
an ocean of mundane despair
does it fall back a disheartened seeker
weary and heartbroken?
Does it fall back a child into its mothers
arms after playful adventure?
but oh dear wind! where again does hope
begin and where again does despair end..
were they ever apart?
sometimes I wonder if you are the traveller from lands afar
Who whispers courage into the seas to reach up to the skies,
I have seen you lead many a ship to the shores, is it the very promise you make
to the seas?
I have seen you lead many a ship to the tempest is it the very caution you murmer to its depths?
In thoughts as such like waves they rise
and fall I let time wear away my skin and
flesh,
and then you come to whisper to my
bones when they can alas not hear no
more,
that enamoured by the dance of the
waves I failed to behold,
that where the sea silenced into stillness,
There it became one with the skies...
