Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation

You can cancel your contract at any time up to seven working days after the day of service or product delivery. To do this, please e-mail or write to us. If you cancel you must return the goods to us at your own expense. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Disclaimer

We guarantee your satisfaction and will replace or refund any item that is damaged, within 30 days from receipt of goods. We would ask, however, that should you receive damaged goods you contact us (info@delhipoetryslam.com), within 24 hours of receipt of goods in order that we can deal with the problem efficiently and effectively. We will completely refund the full price of your order and delivery charge if you are not satisfied with the goods you received.

To the full extent permitted by law, you agree that Delhi Poetry Slam, nor its directors, partners or employees are liable for any damages arising out of use or in connection with the content, information, materials or products of this website.

We do not accept any liability for direct or indirect damages, any loss of data, income or profit or damage to property and third party claims, from the use of this site. However we do not limit our liability for death or personal injury, if it arises as a result of our negligence.

Acceptance

There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually inform you that the goods are available. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. At the moment that we inform you that the goods are available (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By applying to Wingword Poetry Prize 2017, you agree to all terms and conditions of the competition.

  • Copyright: Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the poet, but the Wingword Prize will have the unrestricted right to publish the winning poems (including runners up) in the anthology and any relevant promotional material.

  • Changes to Submitted Entry:  Entries once submitted are final. If entrants wish to correct errors they must submit a new entry and enter again with payment of the entry fee.  

  • Decision of Judges:  The decision of the judges is final and no personal correspondence can be entered into with them.

  • Results: The results will be announced on the website by April 30th 2017. All winners will be contacted via e-mail and phone call. 

Conditions Relating To Your Use of The Website

Access to Delhipoetryslam.com

We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services at any time without prior notice. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.

Licence for website access

Delhi Poetry Slam grants you a limited licence to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Delhi Poetry Slam and / or its affiliates, as may be applicable. This licence does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another seller; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This website or any portion of this website (including but not limited to any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information) may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, distributed or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of Delhi Poetry Slam and / or its affiliates, as may be applicable.

Your Conduct

You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you, and not Delhipoetryslam.com, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and you must use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not use the website for any of the following:

  • for fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offense or other unlawful activity
  • to send, use or reuse any material that does not belong to you; or is illegal, offensive (including but not limited to material that is sexually explicit content or which promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm), deceptive, misleading, abusive, indecent, harassing, blasphemous, defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic or menacing; ethnically objectionable, disparaging or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidentiality, privacy or any other proprietary information or right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or relates to or promotes money laundering; or is harmful to minors in any way; or impersonates another person; or threatens the unity, integrity, security or sovereignty of India or friendly relations with foreign States; or objectionable or otherwise unlawful in any manner whatsoever; or which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any "spam"
  • to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety

Children

Use of Delhipoetryslam.com is available only to persons who can form a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are a minor i.e. under the age of 18 years, you may use Delhipoetryslam.com only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You will be subject to the policies and Conditions of Use in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

Delhi Poetry Slam may offer various services to the public. For example, we distribute an electronic newsletter. We have to hold the details of the people who have requested the service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people who have requested to participate in a competition to carry out a survey to find out if they are happy with the level of service they received. When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time and are given an easy way of doing this.
